Meta Pixel vs Conversions API for Telegram funnels
The Meta Pixel was designed for web pages, and a Telegram conversion does not happen on a web page. This guide compares the two tracking methods once the funnel moves from the browser into Telegram.

The Meta Pixel is JavaScript that runs when a web page loads. It can record the landing page visit and the tap on your Telegram button, and nothing after that. The Conversions API is a server-to-server channel: any system that knows a conversion happened can report it to Meta, including a Telegram bot that has just observed someone join. For the part of the funnel that takes place in Telegram, the Conversions API is the only method that can report conversions.
If part of your funnel takes place on a website, keep the pixel there. It gives Meta a PageView and a browser fbp value, which Tellmetric's landing script also captures and forwards. With event IDs on both sides, Meta deduplicates anything reported twice. Tellmetric sets these IDs automatically for the events it sends.
Not with Tellmetric. You enter a dataset ID and an access token; the server-side delivery is already in place.
Yes. Events sent with standard names such as CompleteRegistration and Purchase can be selected as campaign goals in the same way as pixel events.
No. Keep it for the web portion of the funnel. The two channels complement each other.
For funnels that end in Telegram, optimising for joins or purchases delivered through the Conversions API gives Meta's algorithm the outcome you care about, rather than clicks. That is the signal it needs to optimise towards converting users.
